ABOUT A & A
STATUS & CONSTITUTION
A & A is a newly established Family Centre set up in October 2007, and to date have worked on a combination of Care and Private Law proceedings cases.This move is one of progression and expansion as it reflects the drive, determination and vision of the new owners in offering a ONE STOP Family Centre Service.
A & A is a private Limited Company owned by two long standing, experienced & qualified Social Workers & Practice Assessors. The Director and Manager share the same values, professionalism, principles and vision and are actively keen to listen to staff and Social Care Professionals to enable us to meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups in our community.
Annually A & A will hold a Success and Achievement day where we will share, thank and reward the years achievements with our staff and stakeholders.

REGISTRATION
A & A is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Child Contact Centres and our Membership Number is 1177/4. We received our enhanced accreditation on the 6th August 2009.
My name is Antoinette Johnson and I am a qualified Social Worker I have the following Qualifications: Diploma in Social Work and Higher Education (DIPSW). Post Qualification Award (PQ1). Enabling Others as part of new PQ Consolidation Module. Qualified Practice Assessor. General Social Care Council Registered (GSCC). National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Direct Care (NVQ) Level 3 in Supported Living. I am a qualified social worker with fifteen years Local Authority, Private Sector and National Health Service experience. I have worked within the Mental Health Sector, Older Persons/ Adult team, Youth Justice, Unaccompanied Minors Asylum Seekers, Referral and Assessment Team (Children and Families), family Support, Child Protection and Intervention Team. I have also done Court (Looked After Children) work within my role as a Child protection Social Worker.
FAMILY CENTRE SERVICES
Face to Face Supervised & Supported Contact.Room only Service - e.g. can provide a room only for contact in private family law /care proceedings Telephone Contact (supervised by way of conference call)Escorting Service – Can collect and return children to and from contactHolding Service- e.g. while parents/foster carer attend Court for Care Proceedings, Child Protection Conferences and Appointments.Family Support Workers- offering direct support to families in their homesSocial Work Student Placement. (company director is a qualified social work student assessor) Day Respite Services- offering parents / foster carers day respite for caring for children. For e.g. when foster carers
have to attend training courses or when parents need a break from caring for children with behavioural problems.
ADDED VALUEFor complex care proceedings /child protection cases, contact will be supervised by qualified social workers.A report will be provided on all services.
